Gregory Scott
Hildebrand, 43, of Goldsby passed away January 15, 2015. He was born September
14, 1971 in Miami, Oklahoma to Don and Judy (Nidiffer) Hildebrand.
After graduating from Miami High School in 1989, Greg attended NEO then
transferred to OU in 1991. He received a Bachelor’s of Science degree from OU in
1994. Greg began his career by teaching at West Mid High up until 1997, when he
continued teaching Science for Norman High School until the present. He coached
football, wrestling, and track for Norman High School from 1997 to 2003. Greg
married the love of his life, Kim McDaniel in July 12, 1997. They have two
beautiful boys, Gavin Scott Hildebrand, and Drew Carter Hildebrand. Greg had
many hobbies that he enjoyed. His three favorite hobbies include, hunting,
fishing, and his most passionate hobby was coaching his son’s soccer games. Greg
was a faithful member of First Baptist Church in Miami, Oklahoma.
He was preceded in death by his grandparents; Pat Nidiffer of Miami, Oklahoma,
Bob Nidiffer of Pasadina, Texas, Lucille Hildebrand of Miami, Oklahoma and Dean
Hildebrand of Miami, Oklahoma.
Greg is survived by his parents; Don and Judy (Nidiffer) Hildebrand, his wife;
Kim Hildebrand and two sons; Gavin Scott Hildebrand and Drew Carter Hildebrand,
his in-laws; Jim and Marilyn McDaniel of Ada, Oklahoma, brother-in-law Jim
McDaniel, of Ada, Oklahoma; niece; Madison McDaniel of Annapolis, Maryland,
sister-in-law; Michele and husband George Young, and nieces; Lainey and Josie
Young, of Annapolis, Maryland.
A candle light vigil will be at 5:30 on Monday, January 19, 2015 at Norman High
School. Visitation will be from 5:30p.m. – 8:00p.m., Monday, January 19, 2015
at the Havenbrook Funeral Home in Norman. Funeral Services will begin at
2:00p.m., Tuesday, January 20, 2015 at McFarlin Memorial United Methodist Church
in Norman with interment to follow at
Sunset Memorial Park Cemetery. Gravesides services for family members
and immediate friends.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to a scholarship at Norman High School
in honor of Greg Hildebrand, please make checks to Norman High School, or
