Hicks, Jimmy R.,
49, passed away Sunday, December 18, 2011 in Norman, Oklahoma. He was born
December 4, 1962 in St. Petersburg, Florida to Jimmy and Marjorie (Spears)
Hicks.
Jimmy was employed with State Beauty Supply for over 30 years. He was an avid
collector of reptiles and was an enthusiast with his salt water aquarium.
Jimmy's hobbies included rock climbing, cooking, mountain biking, and riding his
Harley. He enjoyed life to the fullest and loved the time spent with his son,
Aiden.
Jimmy is survived by his mother, Marjorie Hicks of the home; one son, Aiden
Hicks of Norman; one brother, Robert Hicks and wife Nina of Noble, OK; one
sister, Diane Rimmer and husband Charlie of Newcastle, OK; and numerous family
members and friends.
He is preceded in death by his father, Jimmy Hicks and his
grandparents.
Visitation will be held 2:00 – 8:00 p.m., Wednesday, December 21, 2011 and 9:00
a.m. - 8:00 p.m., Thursday, December 22, 2011 with the family greeting friends
from 6:00 – 8:00 p.m., at the Havenbrook Funeral Home.
Funeral services will be held 2:00 p.m., Friday, December 23, 2011 in the Chapel
of the Havenbrook Funeral Home with interment following in the
Sunset Memorial Park Cemetery of Norman.
