Harmon, Troy “Mike”
Michael, 62, passed away Sunday, December 18, 2011 in Norman, Oklahoma. He was
born July 24, 1949 in Ponca City, Oklahoma to Troy and Voncille (Hill) Harmon.
Mike graduated from Ponca City High School in 1967 and later served his country
for six years in the United States Army. After being honorably discharged he
returned to Ponca City where he met and married Nancy Sias. Mike retired from
Tinker Air Force Base after 36 years of service as a program manager. He then
went to work for Boeing for six years. His hobbies included music, playing the
organ and guitar; old cars and watching sports. The highlight of Mike's life
was his family and friends.
Mike is survived by his wife, Nancy of the home; his mother, Voncille Harmon of
Tampa, FL; two sons, Chad Harmon and wife Lindsay of Aubrey, TX and Jared Harmon
of Edmond, OK; one daughter, Shanna Harmon of OKC; brother, Tom Harmon and wife
Carolyn of St. Petersburg, FL; three grandchildren, Connor Harmon, Xander Harmon
and Ryker Harmon all of Aubrey, TX.
He is preceded in death by his father, Troy
Harmon in 1991.
Memorials may be made to the Streams of Water, C/O Alameda Church of Christ, 801
Alameda St., Norman, OK 73071 or to the charity of your choice.
Visitation will be held 2:00 – 8:00 p.m., Tuesday, December 20, 2011 and 9:00
a.m. - 8:00 p.m., Wednesday, December 21, 2011 at Havenbrook Funeral Home, 3401
Havenbrook St., Norman.
Services will be held 2:00 p.m., Thursday, December 22, 2011 at the Alameda
Church of Christ with interment
following in Sunset Memorial Park of Norman.
