Cox, Janet Sue, 56, passed away August 18, 2012 in Norman, Oklahoma after a four year battle with Invasive Ductal Carcinoma H-2 Positive Breast Cancer.She was
born September 23, 1955 in LaCrosse, Kansas to Wiley
Curtis Fields and Mary Ann (Claybaugh) Fields. She was
united in marriage to Johnnie Doyle Cox on March 11,
1978 in Norman, Oklahoma. They were married for 35
years.
Janet graduated from Norman High School in 1974 and went
on to Nursing School at Moore Norman Technology Center.
She graduated in 1978 as an Licensed Practical Nurse.
Janet's most enjoyable job was working at the Target
Super Center in Norman. She spent five “Happy” years as
the baker and cake decorator. She loved all the staff
she worked with.
Janet's greatest achievement was her three children and
four grandsons. She was blessed with a 45 year
friendship with Linda Mae Johnson who was like her
sister. Janet was very thankful for all her friends that
kept in touch by letters, notes and phone calls.
Preceded in death by her grandparents and her father.
Funeral services will be held 10:00 a.m., Wednesday, August 22, 2012 in the Chapel of the Havenbrook Funeral Home with a private family interment. Arrangements for Janet and her family were placed in the care of the Vice family at the Havenbrook Funeral Home of Norman.
