Fred Timpson went to be with the Lord on October 16th, 2012 in
Norman, Oklahoma. He was born on February 23rd, 1950 in Ft.
Sill, Oklahoma to Maurice and Irmgard Timpson.
Fred graduated from Lawton High School in 1968, and moved to
Norman to attend the University of Oklahoma earning a degree in
Mechanical Engineering in 1975. Fred was an Eagle Scout, member
of the ROTC, and a member of LKOT Engineering Club at OU. He was
a pilot, played the guitar and loved hunting and fishing with
his dogs.
Fred worked as a Petroleum Engineer for Union Oil Company in
Oklahoma City, then Casper, WY, Mack Oil in Duncan, OK and Entex
Petroleum in Oklahoma City. From 1979 to date, he was self
employed as a Petroleum Engineering Consultant based in Norman,
working for several independent oil companies, supervising
drilling and completion operations.
He will be greatly missed by his family and friends.
Survivors include his mother, Irmgard Turner of Norman, step
brother and wife, Michael Turner and Viola Turner, sister,
Kristina Turner, step sister, Carrie Rager of Indianapolis, IN.
and beloved dog and companion T Bone.
Fred was preceded in death by his father Maurice Timpson, his
brother, Ken Timpson step father, CW4 Aubrey L. Turner.
Graveside services will
be held 10:00 a.m., Saturday, October 20th at St. Joseph's
Catholic Cemetery in Norman.

I-35 Service Rd., Oklahoma City, OK 73149.
Arrangements for Fred have been placed in the care of the Vice
Family at the Havenbrook Funeral Home of Norman. Online
