Marilyn June Sendelbach, 74, of Norman passed away Wednesday,
June 18, 2014. She was born May 10, 1940 in Norman to Otto
Henry and Ellanora (Mappes) Hansmeyer.
Marilyn grew up in Norman and graduated from Norman High School
in 1958. After high school she began working for Kunkel Plumbing
Company where she worked until 1972. On June 23, 1962, she
married Raymond Sendelbach. In 1975, Marilyn and Raymond started
their own company, Raymond Sendelbach Plumbing, where she worked
until 2007.
Marilyn was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church in Norman. When
she was younger she enjoyed gardening, going to the lake,
singing in the church choir, and working on the family ranches.
One of her great loves was working in her and Raymond’s
company. In her later years, she especially enjoyed spending
time with her grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents and one sister, Esther
Hansmeyer. Marilyn is survived by her husband of 52 years,
Raymond Sendelbach; her son, Stanley Ray Sendelbach and wife
Misty; her daughter, Sandra Lundmark and husband Brian; her
brother, Harold Hansmeyer and wife Diana, her sister, Kathryn
Brown; her sister in laws, Betty Standifer and Bonnie Sendelbach;
four grandchildren, Tanner Sendelbach, Tori Sendelbach, Toni
Sendelbach, and Sara Lundmark and many nieces, nephews, great
nieces and great nephews.
The family will be present to receive friends and family from
2:00 p.m. – 4:00 p.m., Sunday, June 22, 2014. Visitation will
be from 2:00 p.m. – 8:00 p.m., Sunday, June 22, 2014 at the
Havenbrook Funeral Home, 3401 Havenbrook Street in Norman.
Funeral services will begin at 10:00 a.m., Monday, June 23, 2014
at the Trinity Lutheran Church, 603 Classen Boulevard in Norman
with interment following at St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery in
Norman.
Memorials may be made in memory of Marilyn to the American
Stroke Association at www.donate.heart.org and Trinity Lutheran
School and Childcare at Trinity Lutheran Church in Norman.
Arrangements for Marilyn and her family were placed in the care
of the Vice family at the Havenbrook Funeral Home of Norman.
