Agatha was born July 30, 1924 the daughter of George Lawernce,
Sr. and Ella Nora (Higdon) Jansing. She passed away Tuesday
evening, September 16, 2014, in the comfort of her home
surrounded by her children.
Agatha was reared in Norman attending the St. Joseph Catholic
Schools, graduating from St. Joseph Catholic High School in
1942. She was united in marriage to Mr. Edward Paul Schader on
August 14, 1943 in Norman. Agatha and Eddie owned and operated
Deluxe Cleaners on Gray Street for 35 years before retiring in
1980.
Agatha was a simple lady always putting others first. She
preferred to remain behind the scenes while making sure the
needs of those less fortunate were met. She was an outstanding
cook, seamstress, and enjoyed tap dancing, western line dancing,
square dancing and participating in weekly bowling leagues. Her
greatest love was being the wife of Eddie Schader for 54 ½ years
before his death on February 23, 1998. Agatha’s best
accomplishments were being the mother to her six children, her
four grandchildren, and her two great grandchildren. Agatha was
a devout Catholic being a member of the St. Joseph Catholic
Church for more than 90 years, actively participating in the St.
Joseph’s Women’s Club and St. Theresa’s Guild. We will miss her
gentle sweet spirit but give thanks to God for her life and the
many blessings granted her. A special thank you to Dr. John
Krodel and Liz and to the McCortney Family Hospice caregivers.
She is survived by her son, George Schader of Norman; three
daughters, Janice (Schader) Kahoe and her husband John of
Norman, Paula Schader of Norman, and Lee Ann (Schader) Thompson
and her husband Mark of Owasso; four grandchildren, Sean Kahoe

Samantha of Norman, Kristin Cantrell and her husband Brad of
Tulsa, and Kaylin Thompson of Oklahoma City; two great

Paul Schader, Jr. in 1966; two brothers, James Jansing and his
