Ernestine Eddleman Ruggiers of Norman, Oklahoma, passed away October 31, 2018. Visitation and Rosary will be 7:00 pm Sunday November 4 at Havenbrook Funeral Home. Funeral Mass will be held at 1:00 pm Monday, November 5 at St. Thomas More Student Chapel.
Ernestine was born in Bartlesville, Oklahoma on April 14, 1926, the first of five children to Morgan W. Eddleman and Gladys Guillot Eddleman. She married Paul G. Ruggiers at Norman, Oklahoma on May 28, 1948. Of the marriage, one child was born, Christopher M. Ruggiers, in 1952.
Ernestine worked at the Norman Transcript and Harold's for a time, and devoted her life to raising her son. She enjoyed spending time in New Mexico, and horseback riding in her red cowboy boots.
Predeceased by her husband Paul; brothers M.W. Eddleman, Jr. and Robert C. Eddleman; and sister Marianne Eddleman Biddick. Ernestine is survived by her son Chris; grandsons Alexander Ruggiers and Daniel Ruggiers; sister Ruth Eddleman Loeffler, all of Norman; and many nieces and nephews.
