Mary is survived by one brother, Ramon, of Waldron, Arkansas; her Children; Paul Roberts (Rosa), Martha Vass (Ken), Rick Roberts (Cathy), Anna Forbes, Rob Roberts (Linda), Russ Roberts, Michael Roberts (Rebecca), Chuck Roberts, Greg Roberts (LaDeana), two daughters-in-law; Mary Leal Roberts and Terri Roberts, one son-in-law, Bill Holt, and two foster children, Curtis Faust and his sister Corrine Blankenship (Bill). Her legacy also includes 23 grandchildren and 24 great grandchildren.
She
is preceded in death by her husband of 59 years, Dick; her daughter Teresa,
her parents, her mother in law and three of her brothers.
Mary was a quiet, gentle woman who lived her life with compassion for
everyone she came in contact with. She believed and lived “if you couldn’t
say something nice then don’t say anything at all.” Mary devoted her life to
her husband and family and never said an ill word about anyone.
Mary and Dick were devout Catholics, their lives were a testimony to their
faith. Mary died on Sunday, April 17, 2016 in Norman surrounded by her
children and grandchildren. A visitation will be held for her on Thursday
April 21st at Havenbrook Funeral Home, 3401 Havenbrook St., Norman, OK from
8:00AM until 7:00PM followed by a Prayer Vigil at 7:00PM at Havenbrook.
Mass of Christian Burial will be held 2:00PM Friday April 22nd at St. Thomas
More University Parish, 100 Stinson Street, Norman, OK 73072.
The Family request contributions to The J.D. McCarty Center for Children
with Developmental Disabilities, 2002 East Robinson St., Norman, OK 73071 in
lieu of flowers.
