The funeral for Joann Queeney, 43, of Fort
Smith, Ark., formerly of Enid, will be 2 p.m. Friday at Immaculate Conception
Catholic Church. Burial will be noon Saturday in St. Joseph Cemetery, Norman.
Rosary will be 7 p.m. tonight at the church. Arrangements are by Edwards Funeral
Home, Fort Smith.
She was born Sept. 25, 1962, in Enid to Paul and Doris Martini and died
Mon-day, Aug. 7, 2006, in Fort Smith.
She grew up in Enid, graduating from Chisholm High School in 1981. She was a
1987 graduate of Northwest-ern Oklahoma State University with a bachelor of
science in nursing. She was a registered nurse, a member of Imma-culate
Conception Catholic Church, and a volunteer for Immaculate Conception Catholic
School.
Surviving are her former husband, Dr. Joe Queeney of Fort Smith; two sons, Drew
and Grant Queeney of the home; her parents, Paul and Doris Martini of Oklahoma
City; and one brother, Paul Martini of Oklahoma City.
She was preceded in death by one brother.
Memorials may be made to Immaculate Conception Catholic School, 22 North 13th
Street, Fort Smith, AR 72902; First Tee of Fort Smith; or American Cancer
