Leon Dean Pfeifer, of Norman, passed away at his home on August
3, 2016 at the age of 65. He was born September 28, 1950 in
Ellis, Kansas to Walter and Helen (Weber) Pfeifer.
He was united in marriage on April 6, 1985 to Julia (Williams)
Pfeifer.
Leon worked for Cox Cable for over 42 years, retiring in 2012 as
the Director of Government Affairs.
Leon enjoyed family, friends, camping, fishing, and anything OU
Sooners.
He was a loving son, husband, father, grandfather, brother, and
friend who will be greatly missed by countless loved ones.
Leon was preceded in death by his father, Walter Pfeifer,
sister, Cheryl Groff, granddaughter Aly Kent, brother-in-law
Greg Shepard, and mother-in-law Elsie Williams.
He leaves cherished memories with his wife, Julia (Williams)
Pfeifer; his mom, Helen (Weber) Pfeifer; children Gary Craig,
Leiha Farris-Vette, Dawn Kent and husband Don, Darrin Pfeifer,
Holli Warner and husband Brad Williamson, Aaron Groff, and Eric
Groff and wife Tonya; brothers, Glen (Penny), Daryl (Judy),
Kevin, Randy (Gina); sisters, Donna Shepard, JoAnn (Mark) Crist,
Marlene (Kevin) Herrman, Jeanette (Pat) Dreiling; 22
grandchildren; 7 great-grandchildren; and many other loving
relatives and friends.
Visitation will be 3-6pm Monday, August 8, 2016 at Havenbrook
Funeral Home. A Prayer Vigil will be at 6:00pm Monday, also at
the funeral home. Mass of Christian Burial will be 11:00am
Tuesday, August 9, 2016 at St. Mark The Evangelist Catholic
Church. Burial will follow at St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery.
