Loeffelholz, Loretta Jean, 69, of Norman died at Norman Regional Hospital Sunday, May 1, 2011. 

She was born on the family farm west of Norman on April 18, 1942 to Tony and Marie Westermier Loeffelholz.  She attended the New Hope country school until it was closed.  She then attended St. Joseph's Catholic School and was in the last graduating class in 1960 and was a lifelong member of St. Joseph's Catholic Church. 

She is survived by two sisters, Eloise Adams and Betty Loeffelholz; one brother and sister-in-law, Jerry and Elizabeth Loeffelholz all of Norman; six nieces and nephews, Steve Adams and wife Cyndy, Joyce Stout and husband Bill, Teresa Adams, Gary Loeffelholz and wife Carol, Debi Loeffelholz and David Adams all of Norman along with numerous great nieces and nephews.

After graduating from St. Joseph High School in 1960, she went to work at the First National Bank in Norman.  She worked for one year for Oklahoma Natural Gas Company before returning to the banking industry.  She worked in the area of trust administration beginning at the First National Bank in Oklahoma City and served as a trust officer and vice president for several succeeding banks.  She had a successful career and worked in the industry for 45 years before retiring in 2005.  She was well respected by all her clients and peers in the banking field.  After retiring, she volunteered at the Sam Noble Museum and was a former member of the Altrusa Club.  She was an avid O.U. Football and basketball fan as well as a big Thunder fan.  She loved to garden and travel.  Loretta was a friend to all who knew her.  She was adventurous and a joy to be with. 

Visitation will be held 11:00 A.M. - 7:00 P.M., Thursday, May 5, 2011 at Havenbrook Funeral Home, 3401 Havenbrook St., Norman.

A Prayer Vigil will be held 7:00 P.M., Thursday, May 5, 2011 at Havenbrook. 

Mass of Christian Burial will be held 10:30 A.M., Friday, May 6, 2011 at St. Joseph's Catholic Church, 211 N. Porter, Norman with interment following in St. Joseph's Catholic Cemetery
