Teresa M. Roberts-Holt, 59, of Lexington passed away Sunday,
August 24, 2014. She was born April 22, 1955 in Cape Girardeau,
Missouri to “Dick” and Mary (Bujarski) Roberts.
Teresa received a Bachelor’s Degree in Sociology with a minor in
Psychology from East Central University in Ada, May 1977. She
was married to Billy “Bill” Holt on May 22, 1987 in Norman.
Teresa retired from the Norman Police Department after 34 years
of service at the rank of Sergeant in May 2012. She enjoyed
reading novels and mysteries, shopping, sewing, lake time and
travels with friends and family. Her two most prized
possessions were her family and her two blue heelers, Red and
Slick.
She was preceded in death by her father. Teresa is survived by
her husband of 27 years, Bill; her mother, Mary; brothers and
sisters Paul Roberts and wife Rosa of Norman, Martie Vass and
husband Ken of Noble, Rick Roberts and wife Cathy of Norman,
Anna Forbes of Oklahoma City, Rob Roberts and wife Linda of
Norman, Russ Roberts of Norman, Mike Roberts and wife Rebecca of
Norman, Chuck Roberts of Norman, Greg Roberts and wife La Deana
of Norman; foster children Curtis Faust of Dallas and Corinne
Blankenship of Dallas; nieces, nephews, and a large adopted
family.
Visitation will be Wednesday, August 27, 2014 from 3:00 p.m. -
8:00 p.m. and Thursday, August 28, 2014 from 9:00 a.m. – 8:00
p.m. at the Havenbrook Funeral Home, 3401 Havenbrook Street in
Norman. Family will be present to receive friends on Thursday
from 6:00 p.m. – 8:00 p.m. Funeral services will begin at 10:00
a.m., Friday, August 29, 2014 at the CrossPointe Church, 2601
24th Ave. SE in Norman officiated by Pastor Joe Grizzle and
Pastor Jerry Rhoades with
interment following at
St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery in Norman.
Memorials may be made in memory of Teresa to the Royal Family
Kids’ Camp and Food Pantry, both ministries of CrossPointe
Church in Norman.
Arrangements for Teresa and her family were placed in the care
of the Vice family at the Havenbrook Funeral Home of Norman.
