Heald, Jr., Merl Jerome “Jerry”, 92, passed away Monday,
December 5, 2011 in Norman, Oklahoma. He was born October 9,
1919 in Shreveport, Louisiana to Merl and Catherine (Connolly)
Heald, Sr.
Jerry graduated from the University of Tulsa with a degree in
Petroleum Engineering and was employed with Helmerich and Payne,
Inc. for 35 years. He enjoyed yard work, gardening, cooking,
hunting and cars. Jerry's highlights of his life were his
family and friends.
Jerry is survived by two sons, Jerry Heald and wife Connie and
Mike Heald and wife Susan; five daughters, Marilyn Trollinger,
Kathy Hudachko and husband Joe, Jo Miller and husband David,
Jean St. Clair and husband Randy and Pat Elam and husband Bruce;
seventeen grandchildren, Jeff Wood, Jill Tushinsky, Jennifer
TenBrink, Ann Barden, Julie Brown, Angela Blumstein, Amber St.
Clair, Natalie Gillespie, Hollie Kinnecom, Brad Heald, Blair
Jones, Barry Heald, Megan Heald, Alex Heald, Jason Elam, Josh
Elam and Chelsea Elam; and 26 great grandchildren.
He is
preceded in death by his wife, Loretta; his parents; and sister,
Catherine Ann Grosshart.
Memorials may be made to the American Breast Cancer Foundation,
1220 B. East Joppa Rd. Suite 332, Baltimore, MD 21286. Funeral
services will be held 2:00 p.m., Wednesday, December 7, 2011 in
the Chapel of the Havenbrook Funeral Home, 3401 Havenbrook St.
of Norman with interment
following in the St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery, Norman.
