Frank Bordo, Jr., 75, of Norman, Oklahoma, passed away May 28,
2013. He was born in Cuddy, Pennsylvania on November 24, 1937
to Frank, Sr. and Anna (Semko) Bordo.
Frank proudly served his country in the U.S. Navy, traveling all
the way around the world on the U.S.S. Enterprise in 1965. He
loved military life and maintained a perfect attendance record
during his 21 years of service.
In his spare time, Frank enjoyed bowling in different leagues as
well as playing golf at Westwood Golf Course where he was a
Marshall. When he wasn’t playing sports, he loved watching them
and was an avid fan of the Pittsburgh Steelers and Penguins.
He had a love for life and was always active whether it be
dancing, working in his vegetable garden, entertaining people
with his card tricks, or simply telling them a joke.
He will be greatly missed by his family, friends and countless
loved ones.
Frank was preceded in death by his parents; his wife Veronica
Bordo; and two brothers JoJo and George Bordo.
He leaves cherished memories with his son, Tim Bordo and wife
Michele of Ruffsdale, Pennsylvania; daughter, Lisa Hames and
husband Adam of Norman; brothers, John Bordo and wife Rowena of
McDonald, Pennsylvania, Bill Bordo and wife Mary of McDonald,
Pennsylvania, Bob Bordo of Clinton, Pennsylvania, and JoAnn
Behling of Cecil, Pennsylvania; and grandchildren, Amy Bates,
Danielle Hames, Ashley Hames, and Cayla Hames.
Visitation will be Friday, May 31, 2013 from 6:00-8:00 PM. Mass
of Christian Burial will be 10:00 AM Saturday, June 1, 2013 at
St. Joseph Catholic Church, 211 N. Porter, Norman, Oklahoma.
Arrangements for Frank and his family were placed in the care of
the Vice family at the Havenbrook Funeral Home of Norman.
