was born to Eugene and Ella (Sanders) Peppard in Canyon, TX
Mary attended Southwestern Assemblies of God Bible College,
where she met and later married James Lee Rowton. Rev. and
Mrs. Rowton pastored churches in Oklahoma, Kansas, Texas, &
New Mexico. Mary loved the ministry and enjoyed playing the
piano and was faithful to her calling as wife, mother and

She is survived by her husband, Rev. James L. Rowton; son
Jim ( Lindy) Rowton; daughters Beth Ann Rowton, and Nancy
(Brian) Smith; sister Shirley Mills; 8 grandchildren: Brooke
Ferris, Joshua (Leslie) Rowton, Caleb Rowton, Lacy (Michah)
Hensley, Lindsey (Cody) Eidson, Brian, Lauren and Brice
Smith; and 7 great-grandchildren.
Visitation is Monday 6:00-8:00 PM at Bethesda Assembly of
God Church, 3101 SW 89 St, OKC. Service at 10:30 AM Tuesday
February 23, 2016, at Bethesda Church, with burial in
Resthaven Cemetery.
