Elvis Wright (Jim) Robey, 83, died May 28, 2016 in OKC. He was born on June 28, 1932 in Womac, IL, the son of George
E. and Anna L. (Williams) Robey. He was also born into the family of God, and
was a member of Highland Hills Baptist Church. Jim graduated High School 1951
at Ulysses, KS. On August 26, 1950 he married Meletta A. Gibson in Ulysses,
KS. Jim was a U.S. Navy veteran of the Korean War and served proudly on the USS
Rendova from 1951 until 1959. He was a retired production assistant with AMACO
Oil. He was preceded in death by Meletta on September 2, 2002; his
parents and two brothers. Viewing will be from 9am-9pm on Wednesday June 1 at
Mercer-Adams. Services will be held at 2pm on Thursday June 2, 2016 at the

Survivors include his daughter, Joy Evanna Atteberry and her husband James
Atteberry of Orlando, FL; step grandson, Brian Atteberry of Eric, OK; brother,
Dalton Robey and sister, Phyllis Thomason both of Ulysses, KS.
