Vondel Smith Mortuary

Viewing will be held Tuesday, May 11th and Wednesday, May 12th from 4:00-8:00 PM with family greeting friends Thursday from 5-7 pm at the funeral home (6934 S. Western Ave)

Graveside services will be held 1:00 PM Friday, May 13, 2016 at Resthaven Memory Gardens (500 SW 104th St)

 Sarah F. (Macdonald) Nicholas passed away on Tuesday, May 10, 2016 at the age of 90. The daughter of Louis H. and Ida Ray Macdonald, Sarah was born March 30, 1926 in Houston, Texas. She met the love of her life, Thomas Edward Nicholas in the circulation department of the Daily Oklahoman. She loved her job at OPUBCO, where she retired in 1994. She also enjoyed crocheting and truly loved cooking for her family. Sarah also loved the Crafters Mall in Wichita, Kansas which she opened with her daughter, Betty following retirement. She will be deeply missed.

She was preceded in death by her:
Parents;
Husband, Thomas Edward Nicholas on November 14, 1981;
Son, Rick Nicholas;
Daughter, Betty Schoemann;
Brother, Bobby Macdonald;
Sister, Liz Rosenthal;
Granddaughter, Tracy Martin.

She is survived by her loving:
Daughter, Debra McKee and her husband, Robert Gathers;
Son-in-law, Larry Schoemann;
Grandson, Jason Schoemann and his wife, Jennifer;
Grandson, Travis Nicholas;
Grandson, Jeremy McKee and his wife, Shelbi;
Granddaughter, Megan McKee Johnson and her husband, Isaiah;
Granddaughter, Lindsey Scarberry and her husband, Robert;
Great-grandchildren: Austin, Rebekah, Aaron and Sarah Schoemann, Braden and Jaycie Nicholas, Keegan and Mackenzie Martin, Sadie, Tenley and Will Scarberry, Dillon and Drew McKee;
Three Great-Great Grandchildren.
