He was preceded in
death by his parents; son, Floyd L. Duke, and grandson, Raymond A.
Duke. He is survived by his wife, Thelma Duke, of the home; son,
Raymond G. Duke, Jr. and wife Alice of Lake Eufaula, OK; daughter,
Sharon A. Darrow of OKC; brother, Virgil W. Duke and wife Berta of
OKC; grandchildren, Candace A. Duke of Los Angeles, CA, Tracy L.
Duke of Norman, Sharon M. Darrow of OKC, Sidney R. Duke of Norman,
and George H. Darrow of Norman; 8 great grandchildren, Jordan, Nick,
Dalton, Austin, Brooklyn, Claire, Garrison, and Mason; & a host of
family and friends. Services will be held at 2:00 PM Friday, Dec.
29, 2000 at Vondel L.

Raymond served as a pilot in the United States Air Force from
1944-1947. He later worked as an electrician and became a Business
Manager of IBEW Local Union #1141 from 1955-1959. In Sept. 1959, he
served as the International Representative for the 7th District IBEW
and was elected in 1970 as the 7th District Vice President for the
International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers. He retired August
15, 1981. Raymond was a member of the Myrtle Masonic Lodge #145 for
over 50 years, a 32nd Degree Mason, India Temple Shriner, and a
member of the American Quarter Horse Association.
