Two years after graduating from high school, Jane married the love of her life,
Gary Dee Black on January 8, 1966. They celebrated 50 years of marriage this
year.
Jane spent many years working for Del City Public Schools as a child
nutritionist. She took great pleasure in her job and treasured the children she
served. Jane enjoyed riding horses and she loved to dance. She spent all the
time she could outdoors in both her flower beds and gardening. Jane also liked
to go camping and fishing, and having cookouts at Altus Lake spending time with
the family. In her down time, she enjoyed making hook rugs and macramé’s, and
working crossword and jig saw puzzles. Once the kids were grown and out of the
house, Jane and Gary enjoyed taking in a movie, going to the flea markets,
shopping, and taking special camping trips. Like many of her time, Jane was a
huge fan of Elvis Presley.
Preceding her in death were her parents, Floyd Clay and Mae Lynn Moreau; and
grandson Thomas Black.
Jane is survived by her husband, Gary Black; sons, David Black, Don Black, Dale
Black, and Walter Black; grandchildren, Timmy Black and Toby Black; and numerous
nieces, nephews and friends.
Donations may be made in Jane’s name to First Baptist Church of Del City, 2600
S. Sunnylane Road, Del City, OK 73115.
We will celebrate Jane’s life 2:00p.m. Thursday, March 10, 2016 at the First
Baptist Church of Del City. She will be laid to rest at Resthaven Memory
Gardens.
