Oklahoma, to Tolford and Emma Jane Patterson. She
graduated from Edmond High School and then from Central
State Teacher College (University of Central Oklahoma)
in 1944. Phyllis married Luther Leon Storms on November
11, 1945, in Edmond. They moved to Norman in 1964 from
Houston, Texas. Survivors include her husband of 62 years, Leon
Storms , of Chickasha, sons Bruce and his wife, Jan, of
Chickasha; Clark and wife Debbie, of Richardson, TX;
grandchildren, Bryan Storms and wife, Carrie of Aledo,
TX; Deborah Storms Fleming and husband, Brandon, of
Bedford, TX; Blake and Kelsey Storms , both of Ft.
Worth, TX; Jonathan Storms , of Providence, RI; and
Jeffrey Storms , of Austin, TX; sister, Gerry Crews, of
Norman; great-grandchildren, Laura and Bryce Storms , of
