Luther Leon Storms

Following his marriage, Leon began law school at the
University of Oklahoma but in 1947 he chose to delay law
school while taking a job with the US Department of
Commerce. He continued law school at the night program at
Oklahoma City University where he completed his degree in
1952. Following law school he joined Sohio Petroleum, now
BP Petroleum, where he spent the next 31 years retiring in
1984 as Manager of Lands.
Leon continued his military career by being in the both the
inactive and active reserve until he retired as a Colonel in
1976.
In 1949 Leon and Phyllis had their first child, Bruce Leon
followed by Clark Patterson in 1953 and Brian Payne in 1956.
Leon is survived by son Bruce of Chickasha, OK, son Clark
and wife Debbie of Richardson. TX, grandchildren Bryan and
wife Carrie of Tulsa, OK, Deborah and husband Brandon of
Keller, TX, Blake and wife Lauren of Henderson, NV,
Jonathan of Dallas, TX, Kelsey and husband Jason of Fort
Worth, TX, Jeffrey of Austin, TX, great-grandchildren Laura,
Bryce, Benjamin and Brock of Tulsa, OK and Eli, Luke and
Isaac of Keller, TX.
Leon was preceded in death by his parents; brother George,
son Brian, great-grandson Micah, daughter-in-law Jan and his
wife of 62 year Phyllis.
I lieu of flowers we ask that donations be made to the
