Darlene Armstrong Skidmore was born on July 5th, 1937 and passed away on September 8th, 2019, both in Oklahoma City, OK. She graduated from Central High School in 1955. She spent most of her life in Oklahoma, but she traveled across the United States, living for a time in New Mexico, Alaska, California and Texas.

She was the proud mother of five children, enjoyed many grandchildren and great-grandchildren and was very close with her sisters and her cousins. Her family was the light of her life. She married the love of her life, Charles Skidmore, in 1988 and through this union gained three more children and several grandchildren, whom she adored.

Darlene enjoyed spending time with her family and friends and enjoyed shopping, especially with her sisters. She was musically talented, and played piano and organ, playing Sunday mornings for her church for several years. She was a voracious reader and could always be found devouring a book. Friends and family would call her incredibly strong, brave, and extremely tenacious. She loved fiercely and had a way of finding the humor in things. These qualities undoubtedly kept her going, even through mounting physical pain and heartache.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Mildred and Oran Armstrong, her daughter Vicki Taylor, her husband Charles Skidmore and her granddaughter Allison Webb.

She is survived by her children (Scott Webb and wife Linda, Kent Webb and wife Julie, Christian Webb and wife Stephanie, Corey Webb, Charlie Skidmore, Darlene Hale and husband Ken, Debby Posar and husband Robert), her grandchildren (Jennifer Gibson and husband Tim, Amy Kerr and family, Adrian Adkisson and family, Justin Adkisson and family, Brooklyn Webb Gregory and husband Aaron, Logan Webb, Alicia Webb Milum and husband Chris, Brittany Webb Wood and husband Don, Austin Webb and wife Tawni) Conner, Canden and Carstyn Webb, her great-grandchildren (Gage, Garrett, Veronica, Monica, Harlow, Harrison, Lucas, Audrey, Swade and Hazen) and her dear sisters Beverly Armstrong and Barbara Henderson.
