Rose Marie Nichols Scott, age 72, passed peacefully from this life on December 26, 2014. She was born August 10, 1942 in Oklahoma City to Earl and Ina Marie Nichols.
Born and raised in Oklahoma City she moved to Mustang to raise her children. She and Frank Coats moved to Sulphur after his retirement. After his death, she later remarried and moved to Rosedale with Buddy Scott. After Buddy’s passing, she moved back to Oklahoma City.
Rose was a graduate of Capitol Hill High School. She was a city councilman in Mustang and worked in a variety of jobs during her life which most recently included funeral home assistant and Cowley & Krien in Sulphur, Oklahoma. Rose was actively involved in church throughout her life and was a member at Southern Hills Baptist Church in Oklahoma City.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Earl and Ina Marie Nichols; husbands, Frank Coats and Buddy Scott.
Rose is survived by her children, Timothy Stone and wife Sheri of Yukon, Tandy Stone Scott and husband Clay of Oklahoma City; grandchildren, Sara Stone Housh and husband Blayne of Bethany, David Stone of Yukon, Natalie and Nicholas Scott of Oklahoma City; and brother Earl Nichols, Jr. And wife Beth of Oklahoma City.

Visitation will be Tuesday from 10am-8pm. Services will be 2:00p.m. Wednesday, December 31, at the Resthaven Funeral Chapel.
