Murel J. Owen (Stine) age 90, of Oklahoma City, went to her heavenly home on August 29, 2017.

Murel was born June 8, 1926 in Adamson, Oklahoma to Paul C. and Anna B. Stine (Taylor). Murel was the oldest sister in her family, and she was the take charge person on family gatherings. Murel loved her family, she was a wonderful wife, sister, aunt, mother, and grandmother. Her and Arnold would have all the children and grandchildren come home for all the holidays. All of us have found memories of our family gatherings. She worked 24 years for the Oklahoma County Tag Agency and 6 years for Crafts Etc. before retirement. She was a member of Oklahoma City Family Church, serving her church for over sixty years as her husband’s assistant as church clerk and treasurer. She was in charge of many church dinners, serving family funerals, senior dinners, countless baby and wedding showers. In the 60s Murel was the correspondence care group leader for her church. She sent countless letters to our members serving in the military during Viet Nam. She always had a gift to send cards and letters over the years to many church members, family and friends. She sold hundreds of homemade fried pies as a missionary fund raiser. Her famous chocolate sheet cake was always requested at many church dinners. Murel loved to crochet; she made countless gifts of crocheted afghans and baby blankets. Many of us have something Murel crocheted. In her later retirement, Murel was an avid reader. She enjoyed reading books on her Kindle Fire. She read 1,679 books.

Murel is preceded in death by her parents 5 sisters, Beverly, Lois, Helena, Joy and Sandy 4 brothers, Kenneth, Gareld, Paul G., and Bill her beloved husband, Arnold of 68 years

She is survived by her two sons, Rob (Judy) of Tuttle Earnie (Linda) of Broken Arrow Her daughter Ginger Miller (Harry) of OKC 6 grandchildren 14 great grandchildren 2 great-great grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews, and dear friends.
