James served in the Army Active Reserves for six years and was a professional
Engineer for OG&E retiring in 1994, after forty-four years of service.
James was known for his love and obedience to God and his genuine love of his
fellowman. His living example of bearing one another's burden, his wisdom and
gentleness but firm teachings of turning from evil and doing right, will live on
in his families lives and those lives he touched. James enjoyed reading his
Bible, working on cars, and gardening. He never missed a sporting or musical
event that his children and grandchildren were involved in.
James is survived by his wife of 60 years, Jean Marcott; daughter, Peggy
Mitchell and husband John; sons, Steve Marcott and wife Nan and Marvin Marcott
and wife Nicole; brother, Donald Marcott and wife Mamie; grandchildren, James
Miller and wife Tracy, Andy Miller, Amanda Thottunkl and husband Vinay, Jacob
Marcott, Melinda Marcott, Max Marcott, Molly Marcott, Todd Marcott and Brett
Marcott and wife Jiwon; great granddaughters, Jenna Miller and Lindsey Miller;
and many other relatives and friends.

Church of Christ, 726 McGee, Norman with
