Shirley loved family gatherings and cookouts. Before hers and husband Tom’s health declined they enjoyed taking their RV to local lakes to camp and fish.
Shirley spent a lot of her time enjoying listening to her very talented husband, Tom sing and play the guitar, as well as other instruments. She also enjoyed watching football, especially the OU Sooners.
Shirley also loved nature and animals. She was most recently enjoying the nature show outside her window where she lived with daughter Susan, Son-in-law Eric, grandson Evan, their two furkids and her constant companion, YoYo.
She always enjoyed hearing about and seeing pictures of daughter Tammy’s adventures in Alaska.
She has always been described by those that knew her and those that came in contact with her as “very sweet’, which she absolutely was.
Before her passing she expressed her readiness to be with the Lord Jesus Christ and to reunite with husband, Tom and all her other loved ones that went home before her.


Services to celebrate Shirley’s life will be held on Wednesday, January 16, 2019 at 2:00 pm at Resthaven Memory Gardens in Oklahoma City.

May 22, 1935 ~ April 2, 2017 (age 81) 

Visitation will be held 12pm-8pm Tuesday, and 8am-8pm Wednesday and Thursday.
A graveside ceremony will be held 1pm Friday at Resthaven Memory Gardens.
