Dorothy Jean Kidd entered her Heavenly home on October 16, 2020 in Oklahoma City. She was born March 26, 1930 in Coyle, OK to Lawrence and Faye Kidd.
Dorothy graduated from Stillwater High School. She went on to obtain a nursing diploma from Sparks Hospital in Ft. Smith, AR. She worked at Presbyterian hospital in Oklahoma City for 42 years where she did medical and surgical nursing before becoming Head Nurse of the IV Team. Dorothy retired in 1992 to help care for her mother.
Dorothy's favorite hobby was gardening. She became a Master Gardener and liked to share vegetables from her garden with her friends and neighbors. Dorothy was a loyal friend who was incredibly generous, always helping anyone in need. She was a quiet person who did not like being the center of attention, but her kind and loving actions spoke volume. Dorothy cherished her family and loved spending time with them. Above all, she loved the Lord and lived out her faith in deeds more than words.
She was preceded in passing by her parents, Lawrence and Faye Kidd; sister, Joan Parker; and brothers, Lawrence and Ted Kidd.
Dorothy is survived by a host of loving nieces, nephews, and friends who will all miss her dearly.
