James Lawrence Hall was born in Plainview, TX on Sept. 27, 1929, and died peacefully at home surrounded by loving friends and family on April 5, 2002.
He attended Putnam City High School and joined the Navy in 1948. He was co-owner of Credit Service, Inc. and retired in 1995.
His parents, Polly and Tex Hall, and his beloved Aunty Gwen and Aunty Juanita, preceded him in death.
He is survived by his wife of 48 years, E. Ann Hall; his children, James Christopher Hall, Melanie Ann and her husband, Terry Ford, Lawrence Kevin Hall, and Michael David Hall; three beautiful grandchildren, Jason Troop Hall, Jamie Renee Hall, and Maura Elizabeth Hall Ford; his much loved brother-in-law, Dr. Bruce Van Horn & wife Sherry & their sons, Archie, Patrick, Bruce, Clinton, and Brucie; the very special 12 nieces and nephews of his dear friend and brother-in-law, William L. Van Horn; and last, but not least, his dear friends, Kimberly, Chris, "Patty Furr" and many other nieces and nephews whom he dearly loved.
He was a hard working, honorable, loving, kind, decent human being who will be missed by all who knew and loved him.
A celebration of his life will be held 2:00 p.m., Tues. April 9, 2002, at the South Colonial Chapel. VONDEL L. SMITH & SON MORTUARY 6934 S. Western 634-1439
