“Vicky”, 78, passed away Wednesday, February 16, 2011 in Oklahoma City,
Oklahoma. She was born October 26, 1932 in Sulphur, Oklahoma to George and
Ethel (Bates) Adkins.
She is preceded in death by her parents; her ex husband, James Gibson,
whom she remained close to; six brothers and sisters; daughter-in-law, Paula

Vicky was a member of the Red Hat Club and enjoyed collecting art and antiques.
She enjoyed traveling with her daughters and grandchildren. She worked along
side her daughters coordinating the Little Miss of America in California. She
also worked in retail in management and ownership. She enjoyed writing poetry,
gardening and attending her grandchildren's sporting events. Vicky attended
Shartel Church of God with her sister Anne. She will be remembered by her
family for her independence, her wisdom and the good advice she gave them about
life.
Vicky is survived by two sons, Jim D. Gibson of Norman and Ron Gibson of Pauls
Valley; three daughters, Susan Gibson Papac of Norman, Diann Gibson Marty of
Dallas and Karen Gibson Sadeghy and husband Nader of Edmond, OK; son-in-law,
Bruce Marty of Norman; one sister, Anne Norman and husband Ben of Moore; eight
grandchildren, Ryan Sadeghy, Alexis Sadeghy, Summer Marty, Nicholas Papac,
Christopher Papac, Missy Hutchison and husband Nate, Mistie Turner and husband
Buddy and Jeremy Gibson and wife Jamie; four great grandchildren, Maddy
Hutchison, Samantha and Jot Turner and Allison Gibson; and a host of family and
friends.
Visitation will be held 2:00 – 4:00 P.M., Monday, February 21, 2011 at
Havenbrook Funeral Home.
Services will be held 10:00 A.M., Tuesday, February 22, 2011 in the Chapel of
Havenbrook Funeral Home with interment
following in Resthaven Memory Gardens under the direction of Havenbrook
Funeral Home.
