Powell Clayton Files or "Clayton" passed away while visiting family in Nevada, Missouri on June 20, 1954. Clayton was born Feb 9, 1892 in the Red River Township, Stone County, Arkansas to Roland R. & Joanna W. Files.

Clayton spent most of his life in Cleveland County working as a farmer and educator

He married Disa "Ethel" Ramsey on Nov 17, 1912, they would later seperate for unk reasons. To the union they had 9 children. Clayton spent his retirement years living in SW Oklahoma City.

He is preceded in death by his parents and one son Leonard Files of AZ.

He leaves behind his children Lola, Lenora, Lorene, Logan "Buck", Lowe "Glenn", Lois, Lemueal "LD", and Darlene.
