Ila Faye Eldridge, 79, died peacefully Wednesday, July 23, 2008 after a long illness. She was born June 28, 1929 in Oklahoma City to Oscar and Lula Mae Hufstedler.
She was preceded in death by her parents as well as 2 brothers and 2 sisters. Faye attended Central High School and then later married Robert Eldridge on June 11, 1949.
She is survived by her husband, Robert Eldridge of the home; four children and their spouses: Karen & Everett Villines of Broken Bow; Robert & Cheryl Eldridge of Norman; Deanna & Hal Barnes of Midwest City and James Eldridge of Dallas, Texas; one sister, Willie Mae McDaniel; four grandchildren: Carrie Eldridge, Leslie Eldridge, Karin George and Jeffrey Barnes. She is also survived by many nieces, nephews and friends.
Faye has been a member of Soldier Creek Baptist Church since 1961. She was a strong woman and had a great love of God. She loved gardening, baking, crafts and spending time with her grandchildren.
Services for Faye will be 10:00 am, Saturday, July 26, 2008 at Soldier Creek Baptist Church in Midwest City with burial following at Resthaven Memory Gardens in Oklahoma City.
