Margie Marie (Berry), was born April 22, 1919 in Vici, OK, to James Oatis and Alta (Greer) Berry, the youngest of their five children. On December 19, 2003, in Oklahoma City, OK, our beloved Mother and Grandmother departed this earth and went home to her Lord.

Margie attended Vici public schools and Northwestern State College at Alva. She married in 1937 and of this marriage three children were born: Judith Marie Chandler, Clinton Taylor Chandler, Jr., and Stephen Edward Chandler.

Margie became a Christian at a young age and throughout her life gave of her time to service in Christ's church. She was a member of Draper Park Christian Church for over 50 years where she taught the Primary Sunday School Class for 26 years.

Margie retired from Civil Service, having worked at Tinker AFB for several years, then transferring to Mike Monroney FAA Center where she retired after 32 years of service.

Margie was preceded in death by her parents; two brothers; two sisters; and daughter, Judith Marie Stevens.

Left to mourn her passing are CT and Dianna Chandler, Steve and Linda Chandler all of Oklahoma City; grandchildren, Dana Stevens of Detroit, MI, Kyle and Amy Stevens of Wichita, KS, Lafe and Beth Chandler of Edmond, OK, Chris Chandler, Barry and Christy Chandler all of Oklahoma City; 7 great grandchildren, Megan Stevens of Wichita, KS, Kaiden and Kelvin Chandler of Edmond, OK; Matthew, Andrew, Elisabeth and Hannah Chandler, all of Oklahoma City; two nephews; a niece; and many friends.

Services will be held Monday December 22, 2003 at 2:00 PM at Draper Park Christian Church, 6500 S. Walker, Oklahoma City, with Jim Avery conducting the service. Interment will be at Resthaven.

Memorial contributions may be made to the General Fund at Draper Park Christian Church or to a charity of your choice.
