April 19, 2019 brought to a close 88 years of a life well lived for J.R. Casey. 88 years of a life well lived for J.R. Casey. He was born May 21, 1930 in Ash Flat, Arkansas to Pearl and Roosevelt Casey. On June 8, 1953 J.R. married the love of his life, Jo Ann Greer in San Antonio, Texas.

His 20 year service in the United States Air Force took J.R. and Jo Ann all over the world before he retired as a Technical Sergeant. In his spare time J.R. was an avid fisherman and hunter. He was a loving father and grandfather everyone called Popa.

J.R. loved to Bar-B-Que for family gatherings and having all his grandkids and great-grandkids running and playing in the hard. J.R. loved to keep everyone entertained with stories and jokes.

J.R. is survived by his daughters, Donna Herrick and husband Melvin of Wellston, Melinda McCorkle and husband Michael of Norman; grandchildren, Sharon Gindt, LaDonna Pogue; Sheila Herrick, Casey Jo Fisher, Jake Fisher, Christopher McCorkle and Joshua McCorkle; grand-grandchildren, Bradeen John, Tori-Ann, Michael, Mat, Kay Dean, Colton, Mollie, Zoe, Mary Beth.
