Bill Bingham, 68, of Tuttle, passed away Wednesday, Dec. 6, 2006 at Integris Southwest Medical Center in Oklahoma City.

He was born on Jan. 13, 1937 in Oklahoma City. His parents were Ralph Bingham and Jewell Carver Bingham.

Bill grew up on a farm near Pittsburg , Okla. He attended Pittsburg schools and graduated with the class of 1956.

After high school he enlisted into the U.S. Navy and served during the Korean conflict.

On June 24, 1961 he married the love of his life, Dorothy Deralene Hardy. They were married in Guthrie, Okla. and together raised two children.

Bill and his family lived in Oklahoma City for nearly 20 years before moving to Tuttle in 1982.

He worked for OKC Linens, later owned by Nuway Laundry, for nearly 36 years. Throughout his life, Bill enjoyed camping and fishing. In his later years he liked surfing the Internet at home. Most of all he enjoyed spending time with his wife, children and his grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents and one granddaughter, Amanda Triplett.

Survivors include his wife, Dorothy Deralene Bingham of the home in Tuttle; one son, Billy Bingham and wife Bobbi of Oklahoma City; one daughter, Denise Palmer and husband Donnie of Alex, Okla.; seven grandchildren, Jennifer and Charles Johnson, Jackie and Stephen Shupert, Kyle Palmer, Jessica Bingham, Krysta Palmer, Julie Bingham and Billy Bingham Jr.; four great grandchildren; Riley and Tyler Johnson, Jaidynn Bingham and Jasmine Bingham.

Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. Monday, Dec. 11, 2006 at Airport Assembly of God in south Oklahoma City.

Officiating was Rev. LaDonna Grissom. Pallbearers were Earl Rose, Stephen Shupert, Charles Johnson, Sam Callaway, Mark Hardy and Frank Blazek.

Interment was at Resthaven Memory Gardens in Oklahoma City. Arrangements by Wilson-Little Funeral Home in Newcastle.
