Roy Leo Batts, Jr., age 72, of Harrah, Oklahoma was born on January 7, 1942, in Mexico, Missouri.

He was the son of Roy L. Batts, Sr. and Betty Ferrell Batts. He left this life on Wednesday, March 5, 2014, in Harrah, Oklahoma.

Roy married Thyra Miller on April 21, 1962, in Vernon, Texas.

He was the assistant manager of the Harrah Country Boy Market for 19 1/2 years.

His hobbies included fishing, water skiing and he loved sports. Roy especially enjoyed watching his kids in sports and watching it on television.

Roy was very giving, caring and loving to all of his family and anyone he knew. He touched many lives with his love and kindness without any reservations.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

Survivors include his wife, Thyra Batts, Harrah, Oklahoma; two sons and daughters-in-law, John M. and Delilah Batts, Choctaw, Oklahoma; David B. and Terri Batts, Melbourne, Florida; daughter and son-in-law, Danette and Don Smith, Newalla, Oklahoma; sister, Jerri Ann Wilkerson, Tulsa, Oklahoma; eleven grandchildren: Jeremy Rummel, Cherity Burke, Blake Batts, Stefan Rummel, John Batts, Jr., Lindsey Rummel, A. J. Batts, Leesa Rummel, Jessica Batts, Callie Batts and Joshua Batts; five great-grandchildren: Lexus, Lana, Parker, Tucker and Layla Jo; and many other relatives and friends.

Services will be 1:00 p.m., Friday, March 7, 2014, at the Asa Smith Memorial Chapel, Harrah, Oklahoma.

Interment will follow at 3:30 p.m. at Resthaven Memory Gardens, Oklahoma City, Oklahoma.

Services are under the direction of Smith-Parks Funeral Service in Harrah, Oklahoma.
