Don L. Almack passed away November 27, 1997, at the age of 70. He was born July 7, 1927, in Tonkawa to Dennis and Juanita Almack.
Almack was raised in Moore, graduating from Moore high school. He married Beryle Dingler on July 12, 1947, in Shawnee.
They moved to Oklahoma City where Almack began his career in banking. His expertise was in operations and loans, starting at First National Bank, then spanning to Capitol Hill State Bank, Grant Square Bank, American Exchange Bank and Bank of Oklahoma in Norman, and finally retiring from I. T. T. In Del City.
He was the former president of Capitol Hill Sertoma and served on the board of Goodwill Industries. As an avid fan of baseball and young people, he enjoyed coaching little league and traveling. His passion for country music led him to be a member of the Country Music Singers Association.
A kind and loving husband, father, grandfather, uncle and friend, he will be greatly missed.
He is survived by his wife of 50 years, Beryle of the home; his son Glenn and wife Mary Ann of Dallas; his granddaughter Amy and nieces and nephews.
Memorials may made to the American Heart Association. Services were held December 2 at Vondel L. Smith & Sons Mortuary.
