Sara Frances Williams age 80 of Norman, passed away peacefully on Friday, July 04, 2014 at her son’s home in Norman. She was born on June 30, 1934 in Purcell, OK. Sara was the youngest of three daughters born to John Kitchens and Paralee Belle (Summers) Kitchens. Sara grew up and attended schools in Chickasha. On August 31, 1951 in Chickasha, OK, she married the love of her life, Dale E. Williams Sr. In 1969 they moved their family to Norman and raised three children, Dale or “Buddy”, Anita and Steve. Sara retired from the Norman Public School after working 25 years. She was a member of Norman First Baptist Church and Circle of Friends Sunday School class. Sara’s greatest love was her family. In addition, she loved traveling in the motor home and camping with family. She enjoyed her pets, especially her little terrier, Missy. She will be remembered as a wonderful mother, grandmother and great grandmother and will be greatly missed by all who knew her. She was preceded in death by: Parents, Husband, Dale Williams Sr. on May 17, 2005; Two sisters, Bea Moring and Johnie Mitchell;

She is survived by: Three children, Dale “Buddy” Williams Jr. and wife Susan of Norman, Anita Williams of Noble Steven and Shirley Williams of Norman;

Seven grandchildren, Traci Mullinax and husband Justin of Norman, Jennifer Bowles and husband Peter of Norman, Travis Lewis and wife Ashley of Coweta, Liana Hundley and husband Chris of Norman, Miranda Williams of Norman, Blake Williams of Colorado, and Zach Williams and wife Tiffany of Norman. Four step grandchildren, Stephanie Whitaker and husband CJ, Christie Mcafee, Shannon Thompson and Jennifer Thompson.

16 great grandchildren, nieces and nephews and a host of other relatives and friends.

Funeral services will be 10:00 AM. Tuesday, July 8, 2014 at the First Baptist Church in Norman. Interment will be at the Norman I.O. O. F. Cemetery. Officiating will be Rev. Jim Stewart. Pallbearers will be grandchildren; Travis Lewis, Justin Mullinax, Chris Hundley, Peter Bowles, Blake Williams and Zach Williams. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to National Parkinson Foundation, Gift Processing Center, P.O. Box 5018 Hagerstown, MD 21741-5018.
