John M. Wheeler, 61, died Friday afternoon, June 26, 2015 at
Longmont United Hospital in Longmont, Colorado. He was the
son of Jeanne Wheeler and the late P.L. Wheeler.
John graduated from Norman High School in 1972. He
graduated from Metro College in Denver, Colorado in May
1989, where he earned his B.S. in Accounting. He earned his
Masters of Tax at the University of Denver in 1996 and he
became a CPA in 1998. John had his own accounting practice
in Longmont until his death.
He is survived by his Mother, Jeanne Wheeler, of Norman,
Oklahoma; his brothers Doug Wheeler and wife Diane of
Norman, and Peter Wheeler of Edmond; five nieces and one
nephew, Jessica (Stuart) England, Alissa (Brian) Wesley,
Rebekah Wheeler, and Jillian, Parker and Ella Wheeler; his
uncles, Gene Wheeler, Duke Wheeler, and Don Provost; his
aunts, Virginia Arnot and Shirley Wheeler; along with three
great nephews, many cousins and many good friends.
John was
preceded in death by his father P.L. Wheeler. John was a
man in full and he will be greatly missed.
Service for John will be held Thursday, July 2, 2015 at 2:00
p.m. at Havenbrook Funeral Home, 3401 Havenbrook St.,
Norman, Oklahoma, with Leon Dennis officiating.
The family suggests memorial contributions be made to
Oklahoma Medical Research Foundation, 825 NE 13 St.,
Oklahoma City, 73104, directed to Heart Disease and Stroke,
or to Westside Church of Christ, 726 McGee Drive, Norman,
Oklahoma 73069.
