Funeral services for Mrs. Irene “Posey” Price Warmker, age 81, of Norman, will be held at 10:00 am Wednesday, November 24, 2010 at the Trinity Lutheran Church, 603 Classen in Norman with Pastor David Nehrenz and Vicar Matthew Moss officiating. 

Posey was born October 15, 1929 in Williamson, West Virginia the daughter of William Hutchins and Lucy (Millender) Price.  She passed away Thursday, November 18, 2010 in the Norman Regional Hospital after a brief illness.
Posey was reared in Williamson, West Virginia, graduating from high school there in 1947.  She later enrolled at Carnegie Institute of Technology in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania obtaining a Bachelor of Arts Degree. 
Posey spent most of her time at home with her two children.  In her younger years, she enjoyed serving as a Camp Fire Leader and Den Mother, being engaged in every aspect of her children's life.  She re-entered the work force in the mid-eighties as a secretary for the Moore-Norman Vo-Tech School.
Posey was a giver, remaining true to the impeccable character instilled in her by her mother and father.  She simply enjoyed helping and coming to the aid of people without seeking any recognition or praise in return.  She took pleasure in making a difference in the lives of others.   
Posey enjoyed the Arts, especially ballet, musicals, and live performances.  She was active in the Delta Gamma Alumnae Association and for many years was a volunteer reader for the Oklahoma Radio Talking Book Network. 
She was a member of the Trinity Lutheran Church of Norman.

She was preceded in death by her parents; and two sisters; Frances Scharf and Peggy Pinson.

Survivors include one son, Bill Warmker and his wife, Yvette of Shawnee, OK; one daughter, Susan Parker of Oklahoma City; eight grandchildren, Laura Parker, Lance Parker, Sarah Warmker, Paige Warmker, Garrett Warmker, Kayli Warmker, Ryan Coots and Nichole Coots; and one sister, Patsy Tulley of DeLand, Florida. 

The family will greet friends from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm on Tuesday, November 23, 2010 at the Havenbrook Funeral Home, 3401 Havenbrook Street in Norman. 
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made in memory of Posey Warmker    to  the local animal sanctuary Pets Without Parents, P.O. Box 2020, Blanchard, OK 73010.                

Burial will conclude in the IOOF Cemetery in Norman under the direction of the Havenbrook Funeral Home of Norman.
