Ward, Soloman Warren, 73, passed away Sunday, July 1, 2012 in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma.  He was born May 14, 1939 in Norman, Oklahoma to James and Mae Belle (Mosier) Ward.  He was united in marriage to Robbie Dollar on September 18, 1964 in Birmingham, Alabama. 

Soloman was raised in the Corbitt-Lexington area and attended the Norman Schools graduating from Norman High School in 1957.  While in high school, Soloman was a member of the Charter swim team for Norman High.  After graduating high school, Soloman enrolled at Arizona State University later graduating with his Bachelor of Science degree in Aeronautical Technology in 1963. 

After completing his college education he was commissioned into the United States Air Force as a Second Lieutenant serving more than three years before being honorably discharged in 1966. 

Soloman and Robbie moved back to Norman in 1966 where Soloman began a career with Aero Commander in Norman later becoming Rockwell and later becoming Gulf Stream.  From 1980 until 1987 Soloman was self employed.  Later in 1987, Soloman began a career as an engineer with Raytheon-E Systems out of Greenville, TX remaining with them for the next 10 ½ years before retiring in 1997.  During his retirement, Soloman enjoyed fishing, loved flying, was a World War II history buff, and most importantly loved spending time with his grandchildren. 

He was an airplane pilot and a member of the Experimental Aircraft Association and the Aircraft Owners and Pilots Association.  He held a license for Airframe and Powerplant and also was licensed as a state mechanical contractor for heating, air conditioning and gas fitting. 

Soloman is survived by his wife, Robbie Ward of Norman; two daughters, Karen (Ward) Munyon and her husband Todd of Brentwood, TN and Kristin (Ward) Taylor of Norman; one brother, Jimmie Ward and his wife, Diane of Kremmling, CO; three grandchildren, Breanne Munyon, Jacob Taylor and Ava Munyon; and one niece and two nephews and their families. 

He was preceded in death by his parents; and one niece, Wanda Ward.

The family will greet friends from 6:00 p.m. - 8:00 p.m., Tuesday, July 3, 2012 in the Havenbrook Funeral Home.  Visitation will also be held 9:00 a.m. - 4:00 p.m., Wednesday, July 4, 2012.

Funeral services will be held 10:00 a.m., Thursday, July 5, 2012 in the Chapel of the Havenbrook Funeral Home with interment following in the I.O.O.F. Cemetery of Norman.  Arrangements for Soloman and his family were placed in the care of the Vice Family at the Havenbrook Funeral Home of Norman.
