Summer Gene Renee
Taylor, was born on June 4th, 2003 and was unexpectedly granted her angel wings
on July 26th, 2015.
She attended Truman Elementary School, where she loved her art and drama
classes. At home you could often find her drawing or learning to play her guitar
and keyboard, even writing her own songs. She enjoyed spending time with her
friends and cousins loving to sing, dance, or go swimming with them. With her
beautiful smile and contagious laughter she could light up a room.
Summer is survived by her father, Dustin Taylor and step-mom Ashley Lambert; her
mother Amanda Johnson; her maternal grandparents Carrie and Travis Johnson, her
brothers and sisters Nathen, Haylee, Kaitlynn, Tommy, and Gene that’s still
baking, her uncles and aunt Shane Taylor, Matthew Taylor and girlfriend Shauna
Krebs, Adam Johnson, TJ Johnson, and Ryan Johnson; her cousins Susie Taylor,
Ruby Chizem, and Brigitte Taylor; and numerous extended family and friends. She
is reunited in heaven with her paternal grandparents Owen and Linda Taylor.
There will be viewing on Thursday, July 30th, 2015 from 11am-8pm at Havenbrook
Funeral Home in Norman. Funeral services will be 10 am Friday, July 31st, 2015
at the Havenbrook Funeral Home Chapel, with graveside following. In honor of
Summer’s love for drawing, the family requests that friends and family sign
and/or write a message on her casket with the Sharpies that will be provided.
