Stine, Jewell, 96,
of Norman passed away on Wednesday, February 2, in Norman.
Mrs. Stine was born on December 15, 1914 on a farm in Pottawatomie county to
George and Lula Cable. She was the third oldest of six girls.
She and Roscoe E. Stine were married June 25, 1931 in Chickasha. They lived on
a farm in McClain county southwest of Norman until 1945 when they moved to
Oklahoma City. They lived in Oklahoma City until 1984 when they returned to
Norman. Jewell was a member of Memorial Presbyterian Church.
She was preceded in death by her husband and three sisters. Survivors include
two sons, Bill of Norman and Bob of Oklahoma City; a grandson, Gregory of
Houston; three granddaughters, Kimberly Woford of Oklahoma City, Susan Tarrant
of Houston, and Leslie Stine of Austin; great grandsons, Cameron, Chance and
Kyle Stine; great granddaughters, Audrey and Alexandra Woford; two sisters; and
six nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held 1:00 P.M. - 8:00 P.M., Sunday, February 6, 2011 at
Havenbrook Funeral Home.
Services will be held 2:00 P.M., Monday, February 7, 2011 in the Havenbrook
Funeral Home Chapel under the direction of Havenbrook Funeral Home.
