Smith,
Eleanor M., 92, passed away Friday, March 18, 2011 in Norman, Oklahoma. She was
born April 20, 1918 in Norman to James and Elsie (Clark) Craven.
Eleanor had many hobbies including reading, gardening, and bowling. In her
later years, her favorite pastime was playing cards and board games at family
gatherings. Eleanor was well loved by friends, family and care takers for her
kind and gentle spirit.
Eleanor is survived by one son, Greg Smith and wife Mary of Yukon; two
daughters, Celeste Long and husband Ralph of Houston, TX and Linda Patterson and
husband Dale of Pampa, TX; one sister, Mary Roberts of Norman; four
grandchildren, Troy Patterson, Dustin Smith, Andrea Beckham and Adam John; and
four great grandchildren, Londyn, Saylor, Blakely and Jazmyne.
She is preceded
in death by her parents; her husband, E. D. Smith; and three sisters, Margaret
Robertson, Dorothy Young and Mildred Rollins.
Memorials may be made to the American Heart Association, 5700 N. Portland Ave,
Ste 203, OKC, OK 73112 or the Arthritis Foundation, 710 W. Wilshire Blvd. #101,
OKC, OK 73116.
Services will be held 2:00 P.M., Monday, March 21, 2011 in the Havenbrook
Funeral Home Chapel with interment
following in the I.O.O.F. Cemetery under the direction of Havenbrook
Funeral Home.
