PHILLIPS, Elmer, 84, of Norman Ok passed away Tuesday, January 10, 2017 at the Norman Veterans Center.Elmer was born on December 14, 1932 in Strafford OK to Thomas and Etta Phillips. Elmer served in the U.S. Army from 1953-1955. He was a faithful member of the Lakeside Church of God in Norman, Ok and enjoyed working crossword puzzles and reading travel books. Elmer retired as a Grocery Store Manager and then spent his time working as a sign maker.
Elmer is survived by his wife, Peggy of the home; son, David Phillips and wife, Cherry of FL; daughter, Karen Rosenfelt and husband, Mike of Norman; three grandchildren, Monica Schat and husband Russell of Norman; Kyle Phillips and wife Cascha of Missouri; Falon Harrington of Norman. Six great grandchildren: Christian, Emily, Amberly, Joe, Jaiden, and Katelyn. One sister, Margaret Lewis of Norman; one sister-in-law, Margaret Ann Phillips-Jackson of Norman and many other family members and friends.
Elmer was preceded in death by
his parents; three sisters and five brothers.
Visitation will be
held on Sunday, January 15, 2017 with public visitation from 2-4pm
at Havenbrook Funeral Home.
Funeral Services will be on Monday, January 16, 2017 at 2:00 pm at Havenbrook Funeral Home with Rev. Terry Tramel officiating and Rev. Bob Ely and Barry Tramel assisting.
Interment will follow at Noble I.O.O.F. Cemetery. Arrangements are under the care of Havenbrook Funeral Home.
