Andrea “Andi” Nagelschneider (nee Little), 29, of Norman, Oklahoma passed away on Wednesday, February 4th, 2015. She was born September 17th, 1985 in Norman, Oklahoma to Dave and Cathy Little.

Andi grew up in Norman, Oklahoma where she played every sport her parents would let her, focusing on soccer and softball while attending Norman High School. She was the starting goalkeeper for the NHS soccer team that won the state championship her senior year.  In addition to sports, she excelled in the classroom, being named a valedictorian of her graduating class.  She continued her athletic and academic pursuits at Oklahoma Baptist University, where she played both soccer and softball while continuing to focus her academic efforts towards the goal of getting into medical school.  She achieved this goal, becoming a part of the graduating class of 2012 at the OU College of Medicine.  She met her husband, Alex, a fellow medical student, in her first year of medical school and they married in June of 2010. She let her love of children and her desire to help them lead her into pediatrics, becoming a resident in pediatrics at the OU College of Medicine-Tulsa campus.  She was a highly respected resident, known to spend her free time after work playing videogames and playing with toys with her patients, anything to make them feel better. She was known by friends, family, and her coworkers as a hard-working and brilliant physician, who was also the first to make you laugh to lighten the mood.

She is survived by her husband, Alex Nagelschneider, her parents, Dave and Cathy Little, and her brother Austin and sister –in-law Donna,  their two Great Danes Sam and Dug, as well as loving aunts, uncles, cousins, and countless friends who will never forget her beautiful smile and incredibly generous spirit.

Visitation will be at Havenbrook Funeral Home, 3401 Havenbrook Street,  Norman on Tuesday, February 10 from  5:00-7:00 p.m. with the family present from 6:00 – 7:00 p.m.

Funeral services will begin at 1:30 p.m. on Wednesday, February 11th, 2015 at the First Baptist Church, 211 West Comanche Street,  Norman, with interment following at IOOF cemetery in Norman, Oklahoma.
