Morene M. Morrison, 87 years of age, of Norman, OK passed away Wednesday, December 16th, 2015. 

She was born March 2nd, 1928 in Guymon, OK to Frank B. Foreman and Myrtle B. Foreman.  Services for Morene will be at Bethel Baptist Church, Norman, OK Tuesday, December 22, 2015 with Reverend Mark Hensley officiating.  Morene's granddaughter, Lindsey Ashcroft, will offer the eulogy.

Morene graduated high school a year early from Hinton, OK.  Morene went on to graduate from the University of Oklahoma with a Bachelor of Science in Pharmacy in 1949.  Governor Henry Bellmon nominated the first female ever,  Morene Morrison to the Oklahoma State Board of Pharmacy on July 28, 1964. In 1965 Morene was elected the first ever female to be the President of the Oklahoma State Board of Pharmacy.
Morene was a member of the Altrusa Women's Club. 

Morene was pre deceased by her loving husband Donald A. Morrison who passed in 1983.  Morene and Don had two children Donna Howell of Grove, OK and Peggy Morrison of Norman, OK.  Donna Howell had three children, Eric Davis and family from Dallas, TX (Army Special Forces), Lindsey Aschcroft and family from San Antinio, TX (Husband Major Joey Ashcroft F-16 fighter pilot Air Force) and Brittany Jones and family from Ellsworth Airforce Base, South Dakota (Husband Brian Jones B-1 Bomber Pilot Airforce) Morene's grandkids are who made her life so happy and she loved each one very much. Eric's two children are Caden Davis and Isla Davis, Lindsey's three children Campbell Ashcroft, Landery Ashcroft and Maryn Ashcroft.  The grand children and great grandchildren were the loves of Morene's life!

Morene was one of ten children with one surviving sister Mildred Steinmetz.
Morene and Don owned Morrison Drug of Norman, OK for Forty two years with Morene retiring and selling the business in 1996. Don and Morene also were involved in developing neighborhoods in West Norman.  Morene will be missed by all who knew her.

Memorial services for Morene  will be at 10:00 a.m. on Tuesday December 22nd , 2015 at Bethel Baptist Church of Norman, located 1717 W. Lindsey St. Norman, Ok 73069.
