Minton,
John Douglas “Doug”, 45, passed away Monday, November 14, 2011 in
Norman, Oklahoma. He was born June 14, 1966 in Duncan, Oklahoma to Tom
and Linda (Harwell) Minton.
Doug was a machinist for Tinker Air Force Base for the past 15 years.
Doug enjoyed grilling, reading Sci-fi, fishing and woodworking. He
loved NASCAR, drag racing, car building and restoration and riding dirt
bikes. Doug's greatest joy was his two daughters, Shelby and Krystyne.
He loved spending time with them and was very proud of them. He was a
loving person and will be missed by all that knew and loved him.
Doug is survived by his parents, Tom and Linda Minton of Norman;
daughters, Shelby Minton and Krystyne Minton both of Norman; maternal
grandmother, Opal Harwell of Norman and a host of cousins, aunts, uncles
and friends.
He is preceded in death by his sister, Marcella Ann Minton
on September 24, 1970; his maternal grandfather, Bill Harwell and
paternal grandmother, Edna Garner.
Services will be held 10:00 a.m., Monday, November 21, 2011 in the
Chapel of the Havenbrook Funeral Home with
interment following in the
I.O.O.F. Cemetery of Norman.
