2010, in I.O.O.F. Cemetery, Norman. Arrangements by Anderson-Burris Funeral

She was born to John H. and Florence (Haynes) Grant on June 26, 1913, in Cordell
and died Saturday, Nov. 13, 2010, in Enid.
Frieda's family moved from their farm near Cordell to Norman in 1934. She
attended schools in Washita County and graduated from Lake Valley High School,
where she was an outstanding basketball player. After graduating from Central
State University, Frieda began her teaching career in Major County teaching in
one-room schools.
On Aug. 24, 1949, she married Eugene Lindahl in Norman. They taught school in
Minnesota, North Dakota and Washington State. The last several years of their
teaching careers were spent in Lake Quinalt, Wash.
Frieda moved to Canton in 1984 to be near her sister, then moved to Enid in 2002
to be near her niece, Margaret Holub. She was a member of First Baptist Church,
Norman. Frieda enjoyed numerous outdoor activities, gardening and cooking. She
will be greatly missed by her family, friends and former students.
Frieda is survived by her niece, Margaret Holub of Enid; nephew, Doyle Dow of
Enid; and other relatives outside the Enid area.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Gene; sister, Curtis Dow; and three
brothers, Orville, Jessie and Fred Grant.
