Jones, Renee Marie
(Horner), 42, passed away Friday, April 20, 2012 in Norman, Oklahoma. She was
born September 6, 1969 in Norman, Oklahoma to Kenneth and Roxanne (Mutchek)
Horner. She was united in marriage on June 11, 1988 in Norman to David Jones.
Renee loved life and always had a smile. She loved music, making things with
her hands, quilting and crocheting. She enjoyed trips to the Colorado Mountains
and to Myrtle Beach with her family where she could take long walks observing
nature. Renee also had a special place in her heart for animals, birds, cats
and especially horses. Renee had a strong will and a sense of justice which
always compelled her to fight for what was right, no matter how big the
adversary. She was also very compassionate and giving. She will be missed by
all that knew and loved her
Renee is survived by her husband, David Jones of the home; one son, Derek Jones
of Norman; one daughter, Sidney Jones of Norman; one grandson, Johnathon Jones;
her parents, Roxanne and Ken Horner of Norman; her grandmother, Mary Mutchek;
her in-laws, Jim and Lois Sloan of Athens, GA; and a host of other family and
many friends.
Visitation will be held 9:00 am – 8:00 pm, Wednesday, April 25, 2012 at
Havenbrook Funeral Home with the family greeting friends from 6:00 pm – 8:00
pm.
Funeral services will be held 2:00 pm, Thursday, April 26, 2012 in the Chapel of
the Havenbrook Funeral Home with
interment following in the I.O.O.F. Cemetery of Norman. Arrangements for
Renee and her family were placed in the care of the Vice Family at Havenbrook
Funeral Home of Norman. Online condolences may be shared at
